Dua (prayer) is a powerful way of connecting with Allah, and while there is no guaranteed way to accept prayer quickly, there are ways to increase the possibility of acceptance. Here are some important guidelines based on Quran and Sunnah:
- Pray with honesty (ikhlas) Be honest in your blessings and have full confidence that Allah will answer. Prophet 4 said: “Call Allah while answering is being given.” (Timidi 3479)
- Use the best time for blessings Some time blessed for Dua, including:
Last third of the night (Tahzad time) (Bukhari 1145)
Between Aden and Iqmah (Tirimidi 212) On Friday (especially the last hour before Maghib) (Bukhari 935)
While fasting and at Iftar (Tirimidi 3595)
During Suzud (prostitution) (Muslim 482)
- Start with praise and salawat on the Prophet. Start your blessings by praising Allah
(eg, Alhamadulillah, Subhanallah) and sending Salawat (Durod) to Prophet Muhammad.
